You know what really pisses me off??? (excuse the "french) The high and over the top gas prices. What the heck is going on with that? Over the weekend, I noticed that my local Kroger's gas station had $4.19 posted. Man, I went to fill my tank up from the 1/2 way mark and spent $46!!!!! My mouth dropped and thoughts of leaving the bill at the pump crossed my mind. Of course I paid the hefty amount but I became so irritated with the way our soaring gases have been.
When I got home, I vented to my husband about our so called great nation. Now I do love America and all that it has offered to someone like me that has traveled overseas to live a better life. But when I hear that there isn't a shortage of oil and these extremely high gas prices are by choice, it makes me sick. What the heck happened to the good ole days when a gallon cost a measly $.99? With my first Buick Avenue, it took only $20. Now ten yrs later, it takes $85 to fill my PT Cruiser and that makes a dent in my wallet.
Times like these is when I remind myself how the government isn't out there for us common, working class citizens. They say they can't control the greedy oil companies that are cashing in. What??? Pull the plug, investigate, make things change!! They also say all of our big oil tycoons from the Middle East are the ones hiking up the prices purposely. This should be a prime example of what happens when the U.S. government continues to stick their nose into unncessary business. I've never been in agreement with sending our troops to Iraq, Saudia Arabia, and every where else that seemed justified. The government and ignorant Mr. Bush needs to focus on more of our own homeland security and personal affairs. I don't call George Bush our "president." A real president is someone that leads his country for the benefit of the common citizens and lends a selfless hand to solving our own problems. Not someone like him who has used his own revenge to making the Iraq War possible and reaping in the high gas prices to fill his greedy pants. I can't stand that bastard!!! (Sorry, Dave) Who ever fills his shoes (Obama, hopefully) better change the government's ways and start looking out for us hard working common citizens and quit focusing so much on foreign affairs. Because our government continued to make more and more enemies overseas, people like my family have to put up with the consequences.
I'm sure this blog doesn't make any sense and I probably went away from the subject a few times. But man, I am pissed off and had to let a few thoughts out. Sorry if it seemed like a lot of rambling!!!

Controversy of Myspace Murder
This world has become worse with the poor misjudgement of irresponsible parenting. Its bad enough that we have to worry about the thiefs and rapists out there but now we have to worry about idiotic parents that seem to use computer use has a weapon. Its amazing how with just punching in a few words on the keyboard can lead to death and terror onto another family!
When I had found out about the Myspace murder, I was completely mortified and disgusted in the whole situation. I can't believe the poor judgement Drew had of what she considered a "joke." Because of her careless actions and not taking "terms of service" seriously while being online, an innocent child is dead. She already knew the mental state Megan had and for her to use that to her advantage to inflict harm on her is cruel and inhumane. She isn't any different than the grown men/women that use cyberspace to hook up with underage children to satisfy their sexual desires.
I think the law didn't do enough justice in giving Drew what she deserved. Besides the four counts of criminal charges Drew received, I think she should get murder charges put against her as well. She should take full responsibility for threatening and imposing great harm on Megan. She was the trigger to making the emotionally unstable girl take her own life. It was as if Drew was standing right in front of her and instigating her to commit the ultimate sin against oneself. I think the law should give her a harsher punishment to reflect how serious of a crime this is.
When it comes to Myspace, I think they should monitor more closely on the messaging and subscribers. I, myself have a Myspace account and one thing I do remember was them informing me to not use inappropriate language or content on the internet. Of course I haven't, but I have recieved some inappropriate content in the past and after reporting it, nothing has been done. I think Myspace needs to touch up on their system of security and try to improve on monitoring chats, IM, and also do random screening of personal accounts. They should ask for more personal security information from users and be more in depth of identification to insure that there aren't any false id's or perpatrators online like Drew was. Even though Myspace technically aren't guilty of the murderous crime, I think they're guilty of not making their website a safer place for people like Megan.

About Me
About me.....
Hmmm.....well, I'm a very late college student and the oldest 27 yr old alive. I happen to already have two beautiful daughters, and a devoted husband who I've managed to have fall in my lap unexpectedly. He's the most supportive man I've known and (unlike my first less than other half) in which has given me the easy push and shove to start college. I'm a little apprehensive in continuing my education b/c of all the responsibilities I have on my plate. But hey, now is better than never and wishful thinking of a bulging pocket full of unnecessary cash has to become a reality than a daydream away.
I'm studying to be a....hmmm...actually.....I have no clue! I'm just concentrating on the core classes before the prereq's (did I spell that right) and then hopefully I'll know what I want to be "when I grow up." I'm currently a CNA at Foote Hospital. When I'm working, I desire to become a nurse. When I'm off the clock, I desire to be a mediator for big businesses. So obviously, I'm very indecisive and hope to find my calling in the near future.
